Character Design Tutorial

Disclaimer: this tutorial is about Cat Martins' personal practice, it might not suit every person's style/technique, it is what works for Cat. Also, this is not a planned tutorial. It is an authentic representation of Cat's progress as she creates her characters. You will see her make mistakes and struggle with a few parts (but that is how you actually learn things). The program used is Procreate, but the progress can be done in any drawing program with similar tools.

This tutorial includes:- 3 videos (.mp4 format) walking you through my process of creating a character (even my doubts and mistakes during the progress)- access to all the settings used on Procreate (layout, brushes, etc. This info is available on Video 02)- HD jpeg of all sketches and final result.Total file size (.zip): 3.5GB

Timeline:

Video 1 - Introduction (until 2.46min) + paper linework (includes some advice for beginners who are just starting their art journey and some timeless advice from my personal experience.) (1h)

Video 2 - work settings and basic/main digital linework (1h)

Video 3 - details, coloring (fast pace coloring because it is just filling in spaces, I rely mostly on linework to define my work and use bucket tool to color) and conclusion (52min)
